Do you think writers need to find a niche to write about?

It’s helpful. But really, new writers need to find *anything* to write about. Something that makes it a story only they are qualified to write about. the niche comes later. I started out at the source and everything I wrote was hip-hop, hip-hop, hip-hop. When I left, I branched off into travel, relationships, and now celeb journo and fiction. Start by writing, period. Niche comes later. Results may vary.
